Description
Woodview and the adjoining cottage are a pair of cottages built around 1807. They are constructed of brick with a rendered finish and feature a hipped slate roof and a stone plinth. The eaves are corbelled, and there are three ridge stacks. The cottages are two storeys high and consist of three bays, arranged in a cross plan with canted ends.
The east front has a projecting central bay with three Gothick casement windows, and above these are three smaller casements. The north end has a canted bay with a 20th-century door and a casement window, and to the right is a 20th-century carport with two casements above. The south end features a 20th-century casement and a French window to the right, with a central blocked window above.
At the rear, there is a central single-storey outbuilding with two bays and a pantile roof. To the south of this outbuilding are two doors and a 20th-century porch, flanked by single doors and further single casements. Above, there are three casements. This building is part of the complete Estate Village laid out by Earl Manvers of Thoresby Park between 1807 and 1812.
