Description

Church Farmhouse is a farmhouse that was originally a house and barn, built in the early 18th century with late 19th-century and 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of red brick, with the right three bays set on a concrete plinth, and features a plain tile roof. The building has a single ridge and a right gable red brick stack, along with dogtooth and raised brick eaves.

The farmhouse is two storeys high and has eight bays. From left to right, the facade includes a doorway with a plank door, a single small casement window, a doorway with a 20th-century door, a single tripartite casement window, a single quadripartite casement window, a single tripartite casement window under a segmental arch, a 20th-century projecting semi-circular porch with a glazing bar door, and another single tripartite casement window under a segmental arch.

On the upper storey, from left to right, there is a single tripartite casement window, a single small casement window, two 2-light casement windows, a single tripartite casement window, a single 2-light casement window, and a single tripartite casement window.

Inside, the farmhouse features a decoratively carved fireplace and overmantel inscribed "T.G. 1698," which has been relocated from another site and is partly from the 19th century. The interior also includes a chamfered bressumer and other beams, a dogleg staircase with fretted balusters, and 18th-century panelled doors with L-shaped hinges.
