Description
The House at Thorney Hall is a Grade II listed building that was originally the servants' wing, dating from the 18th century, with 19th and 20th-century additions and alterations. It is constructed of brick and features a slate roof, stone sills, and lintels. The building has two string courses, a cornice, and a parapet, with a single coped gable at the north end and a hipped roof on the 19th-century addition. The rear elevation has cogged eaves, a single roof stack, and two rear wall stacks.
The house is two storeys high with four windows. The main facade includes two round-headed openings with keystones, which contain tripartite glazing bar sashes. Above these are three glazing bar sashes with five keystone lintels. The 19th-century addition to the south is also two storeys and consists of one bay, featuring a single glazing bar sash with a five keystone lintel above. There is a single-storey flat-roofed addition to the west, built in 1912, which has three semi-circular glazing bar casements and a round-headed doorway with a half-glazed door facing south. Additionally, there is another round-headed doorway with a half-glazed door located in the re-entrant angle to the north.
