Description
The cottage at Thorney Hall is a house dating from the late 18th century, with 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of brick and features a Westmorland slate roof, with stone coping on the gable and a kneeler to the north. The building has stone dressings and a single off-centre ridge stack. It stands two storeys high and has four windows. The main facade includes an off-centre 20th-century glazed door set in a round-headed opening, flanked by two round-headed openings with keystones to the south and a single round-headed opening to the north, all containing three-light glazing bar sashes. Above, there are four glazing bar sashes with stone sills, along with a single fixed light to the south.
