Description

The Old Vicarage is a house, dating from circa 1840. It was originally a vicarage. The house is constructed of render over brick, with some ashlar detailing. It has a hipped slate roof and four brick and render stacks. A wide eaves overhang is supported by a shallow raised eaves band. The building is two storeys high and has three bays, with the central bay projecting and gabled. The projection is supported by three ashlar brackets. The central doorway has a panelled double door and a rectangular overlight with radiating glazing bars, with a projecting hood supported on two ashlar brackets. To either side of the doorway are single glazing bar sash windows. Above, there are three similar but smaller sashes. All the sashes have flush ashlar lintels. To the rear of the main building are various two- and single-storey wings.
