Description
Criftin Farmhouse is a farmhouse built in the mid-18th century with early 20th-century additions. It is constructed of red brick and features a plain tile roof. The building has two red brick gable stacks, brick coped gables with kneelers, and dentil eaves. It stands two and a half storeys tall and consists of three bays.
There is a projecting single storey, three bay lean-to added in the 20th century, also made of red brick and covered with plain tiles. The central doorway has a panelled door, with narrow casements on either side. Further to the left and right, there are single tripartite casements in slightly projecting bays. Above these, the top floor features three cross casements with flush wedge brick lintels. The top floor also includes a single semi-circular panel with a rusticated surround and keyblock, flanked by segmental arched glazing bar sashes.
To the right, set back from the main structure, is a single storey, single bay extension from the 20th century. At the rear, there is a two-storey wing that matches the gable style, along with additional two-storey and lean-to extensions.
