Description

The Elms is a farmhouse dating to around 1820. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and has a hipped slate roof. The building features a plinth, plain eaves, two side wall stacks, a single ridge stack, and a single gable stack. The front windows are glazing bar sashes with splayed lintels. The main front has a slightly projecting pedimented centre and three windows. A central 19th-century half-glazed door with an overlight is flanked by single windows, and a 20th-century casement window is on the left end. The rear elevation has irregular window placement, mostly with segmental head arches.
