Description
Lodge Farmhouse and the adjoining stables are a farmhouse and stable complex dating from the early 18th century, with some later alterations in the late 18th century. The building is constructed of brick, partly rendered, and features a pantile roof with three gable stacks. It is three storeys high and has three bays, arranged in an L-plan with a lean-to rear addition and a single-storey stable attached.
The south front of the farmhouse includes a single-storey stable range on the left. The house features a central moulded doorcase with an overlight, flanked by single sash windows. Above the door, there are three sash windows, with the central one being the smallest and having a keystoned round head. Above these, there are three half-round windows.
On the rear stable range, to the west and on the left, there are brick and stone steps. To the right of the steps, there is a casement window flanked by single doors, all of which have segmental heads. Above this, on the left, is a door, and to its right are three casement windows.
