Description
Number 221 and adjoining Number 225 are three knitters' cottages that have been converted into two houses, built in 1857. The cottages are constructed of brick and topped with pantile roofs, featuring cogged eaves and two ridge stacks. They are two storeys high with a total of six unequal bays. The street front shows Number 225 on the left, which has a single-storey 20th-century addition with a casement window. To the right of this, there are two small windows, flanked by a single large knitters' window. Further right, there is another small window followed by two more knitters' windows. All the knitters' windows have segmental heads. Above these, there are six 20th-century casement windows. The blank north gable displays the inscription 'M.S. 1857' made from burnt headers.
