Description
Nos. 130 and 132 Moorgreen are a pair of cottages built in 1872 by W. E. Godwin for Earl Cowper. The cottages are constructed of brick and tile hung, topped with a plain tile roof. They feature a chamfered plinth and three external gable stacks. The buildings are two storeys high and consist of three bays in a T-plan layout. The windows are leaded casements. The front elevation includes a central gabled bay with two quadruple casements and a door in each return angle, along with single quadruple casements beyond. Above this, there is a datestone inscribed 'C.1872', and above again, there are two quadruple casements plus single casements in each return angle. The stacks have been reduced in height, and the rear elevation has been substantially altered. This building is part of a group of farmhouses and cottages designed by E. W. Godwin for Earl Cowper between 1872 and 1878.
