Description
Corner Cottage is a cottage dating from around 1700, with a 20th-century addition. It is constructed with a timber frame and brick nogging, and it is rendered and colourwashed. The roof is hipped and covered with pantiles, featuring single red brick stacks at the ridge and to the left. The cottage is set on a rubble plinth and has one and a half storeys with four bays. Originally, it was a three-bay cottage.
The 20th-century porch has a cat slide roof and features a double-glazed liar door flanked by single glazing bar casements. There are larger similar casements in each side wall and an inner 20th-century stable door. To the right, there is a single 20th-century glazing bar casement, and to the left, there is a similar casement followed by a larger 20th-century glazing bar casement. Above, there is a single glazing bar Yorkshire sash window with a small glazing bar casement to the left, and further left, there is a single sloping dormer with three 20th-century glazing bar casements. To the left, there is a lean-to extension with a single 20th-century glazing bar casement. The interior retains a reasonably complete timber frame, including many visible posts, wall plates, and beams.
