Description
Haughton Kennels Farm is an early 19th-century farmhouse built for the Duke of Newcastle. The building is constructed of stucco and features a hipped slate roof with two stucco ridge stacks and sprocket eaves. It is set on a plinth and has two storeys with three bays, where the outer single bays project slightly.
The central section has a 20th-century lean-to that includes three large fixed lights, decorative ironwork, and a felt roof. On either side of this lean-to, there are recessed arched panels containing single segmental glazing bar fixed lights, which are supported by an ashlar balustrade underneath. Each arch is topped with a continuous hood mould. Above these arches, there are three glazing bar casements set under segmental arches. To the right, there is a set-back 20th-century porch made of glass, stucco, and felt. At the rear right, there are lower two-storey wings.
