Description
The Old Vicarage is a house, formerly a vicarage, built around 1825 by J. Trubshaw. It is constructed of brick and covered in stucco, featuring a hipped Welsh slate roof with deep eaves and two roof stacks. The building has a chamfered stone plinth and corner pilaster strips, and it is two storeys high with three bays in an L-shaped plan.
The south front has a central recessed bay with flanking pilaster strips that contain a 19th-century half-glazed door. The outer bays are occupied by single glazing bar sash windows. Above this entrance, there is a central cast-iron balcony with a margin pane French window, flanked by single glazing bar sashes in the outer bays.
On the west front, there is a central glazing bar sash window, flanked by single 20th-century glazing bar bay windows. Above, to the left, are two glazing bar sashes, while to the right is a blank panel. The rear elevation features, to the right, a 19th-century half-glazed door and, to the left, a blank panel, with two glazing bar sashes above. The east front has two glazing bar sashes, with two blank panels above.
