Description

The Manor House is a manor house dating from around 1600, with additions from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed of brick and has a pantile roof. The building features a stone plinth, stone dressings, brick and stone bands at the first floor, a stone eaves band, cogged eaves, tumbled coped gables with kneelers, and two gable stacks. The house is two storeys high plus garrets and has an L-shaped plan.

The south front has an off-centre panelled door with a leaded overlight. To the left of the door is a 16th-century five-light chamfered mullion and transom leaded window, and to the right is a 19th-century canted gault brick bay window that includes a French window and two fixed lights. There is also a central timber casement window with a mullion and transom, flanked on the left by another 16th-century five-light chamfered mullion and transom leaded window, and on the right by a three-light mullion and transom casement. Above this, in the gable, is a four-light 16th-century stone chamfered mullion window.

The west front features an elliptical arched chamfered stone doorway with an 18th-century panelled door and a stone mullion and transom overlight. To the left of the doorway is a 20th-century casement window, followed by a five-light stone mullion and transom window. Above, there are 20th-century casement windows and a blocked opening. The north gable has a five-light stone mullion and transom leaded window on both floors.
