Description
Brattleby Hall is a small country house, now converted into flats, built around 1780. It was altered in 1838-1839 by William Nicholson and had additions made between 1875 and 1880. The building features a rendered rusticated ground floor, with rendered rubble above that has ashlar dressings. It likely has a shallow hipped roof behind a parapet, with paired lateral stacks and two stacks at the rear. The house is two and a half storeys tall and has a three-bay front with quoins.
The central doorway has paired, partially glazed doors, which are flanked by paired Ionic pilasters and narrow fixed lights. On either side of the doorway, there are single three-light windows, each with a central glazing bar sash and narrower fixed lights, alternating with four plain pilasters. Above these, there are three glazing bar sashes, each with a moulded cornice and architrave. There are also three smaller glazing bar sashes above, all featuring moulded architraves. A moulded cornice and parapet sit above the windows. The interior is noted as having no particular interest.
