Description

Nos 1 and 3 King Street is a building that was originally the White Hart Hotel, dating from the late 18th century. It stands three storeys tall and is finished in stucco. The building features rusticated quoins and straight arches above the five front windows, with an additional one-window extension. The four ground floor windows are divided into three sections and have 20-light sash windows, one of which serves as a small shop. The roof is covered with pantiles, and there is a string course at the first floor sill level. A passage entry leads to the main door, which is flanked by paired stucco Doric pilasters and an entablature. The contemporary double doors have glazed upper panels and a rectangular fanlight above.
