Description

No. 38 Dear Street is an early 19th-century brick building that has been painted. It features three bays and a hipped slate roof, supported by four brick buttresses located at the ends and between the bays. The ground floor has three 9-light sash windows set in shallow arched recesses, which are adorned with stuccoed voussoirs and keystones. Above, there are three similar 9-light sash windows. To the side, there is a single large gatepier leading to No. 37. The building also has two red brick chimney stacks and showcases an elaborate Victorian garden facade with ornate bay windows.
