Description

The Barn at the Vicarage is an early 19th-century hay barn constructed of brick, featuring a slate roof and brick coped gables with kneelers. The open side of the barn has four bays separated by rustic poles, with short returns of the side walls at either end that include recessed decorative panels. The gable and rear walls contain several cruciform openings in the brickwork for decorative purposes. Additionally, the rear wall has two square pitching eyes, which are covered by planked doorways and positioned fairly high. This structure is included in the listing for its group value.
