Description

This is a mid-17th century farmhouse, altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with ashlar dressings and quoins. The roof is tiled, with raised brick coped gables and two yellow brick gable stacks. The building is in an L-shape and two storeys high, with garrets above. The front of the house has three bays. The central entrance is a four-panelled door within a plain wooden surround, with a 19th-century iron porch. To the left of the door is a large, plain sash window on the ground floor, and to the right, a three-light sliding sash window. All ground floor openings are topped with timber lintels. The first floor has a central fixed glazing bar light flanked by single three-light glazing bar sashes. All the windows retain their original 17th-century flush stone surrounds.
