Description
Mill Farm House is a house dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed rubble ironstone with limestone dressings and red brick, topped with steeply pitched pantile roofs featuring stone-coped, blocked crow-step gables and three tall brick gable stacks. The building has a two-storey, four-bay front, with a lower mid-18th century red brick bay set on an early 18th century rubble plinth to the south.
The entrance is off-centre, featuring a plain doorcase with a rectangular overlight of two panes and a plank door. There is a single window to the south with a blocked doorway beyond it. To the north, there are two windows, and above them, there are four windows, with the northernmost having been reopened in the 20th century. The brick extension includes a single window with another above it. All windows are fitted with casements and have segmental heads.
