Description

The Old Rectory is an Early 19th-century rectory, now a house, constructed of red brick with stone-coped gables and a pantile roof. It has two brick stacks and one ridge stack. The building is three storeys high, with bands marking the 1st and 2nd floor levels. The main facade has six bays, and a single-storey wing is attached to the east end, containing a 20th-century glazed door. The ground floor features five tall, multi-pane sashes, and a blocked-off, central doorway. The first floor has six multi-pane sashes, and the second floor has six square multi-pane sashes. All window and door openings have plain, gauged brick heads. The rectory was built by the Thorold family.
