Description
Cley Hall is a fine mid 18th century mansion built from local brick, featuring brick bands between the storeys and a stone-capped parapet. The building stands three storeys high and has five windows, which currently have modern glazing. It includes two dormers and chimney stacks at the gable ends. There is a one-storey, one-window extension on each side of the main structure. A notable feature is the impressive open projecting porch, which has Adam style ornamentation, Corinthian columns, an open dentil pediment, and a traceried fanlight above a modern stained glass door. The date 1764 is inscribed on the rain-water head. Cley Hall is part of a group with Nos 21, 22, and the garden wall to No 21.
