Description

Yew Lodge is a very good mid to late 18th century mansion located on the east side of High Street. It stands three storeys tall and is constructed of brick, featuring five windows with hung sashes that include glazing bars. The building has a stone-capped parapet. A notable feature is the impressive wood doorcase designed in the Roman Ionic style, which includes panelled reveals and a traceried fanlight, topped with an open modillion pediment. The entrance door consists of eight fielded panels. Yew Lodge, along with No 22 and the garden wall to No 21, forms a group of significant structures.
