Description

This is a pair of late 18th-century houses located on Church Gate. They are built of red brick with a slate roof and feature a modillion eaves cornice. The houses have four windows, with the two ground-floor windows recessed behind an elliptical blank arcade. Only one window has original glazing bars. Number 12 has had a modern bay window inserted and a double-recessed doorway. Number 13 has an early 19th-century wooden doorcase with a small hood over the entrance. Both houses have six-panel doors and fanlights above. A rendered plinth runs along the front, and a foot scraper is present at number 12. Numbers 12 to 15 form a group.
