Description
The Crimean War memorial, located 3 meters northwest of the Church of St Helen, was erected around 1858. It is made of granite and features a rectangular block with a moulded top edge, which likely serves as a coping stone. The memorial is inscribed with the words, "Brought from Sevastopol and placed here by Major RG Ellison in memory of the men of his company 47th Regt who fell in the Crimean War."
