Description

The Old Rectory is an early 19th-century former rectory, later used as a house, with extensions and alterations undertaken in 1855. It is constructed of red brick with a hipped slate roof and two ridge brick stacks, arranged in an L-plan. The two-storey, five-bay front has a slightly projecting central bay and a plain parapet with a brick band. The central entrance features half-glazed double doors within a moulded wooden surround, incorporating triple shafted pilasters, a cornice, and a narrow leaded hood. Flanking the entrance are two pairs of glazing bar sashes, and above are five matching sash windows on the first floor. All windows are topped with segmental brick arches.
