Description

The Office of Tinn and Thimbleby is a former house and shop, now serving as an office. It dates from the early 19th century and has undergone minor alterations in the 20th century. The building is constructed of colourwashed brick and features a hipped pantile roof with a single wall stack. It is two stories high with a cellar and has a two-bay front. The eaves are adorned with brick dogtooth detailing. The entrance is off-centre and consists of a half-glazed panel door with an overlight, flanked by single tall glazing bar bow windows. These windows are supported by cast iron columns that hold up an elaborate frieze and cornice, which includes triglyphs, paterae, and guttae. To the right of the entrance is a plain sash window, and on the first floor, there are two similar windows, all featuring brick segmental heads.
