Description
The Old Manor House is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the late 19th century. It is constructed of red brick and features a 19th-century hipped slate roof, which has a large central 18th-century ridge stack. The building has an L-plan layout and a lobby entrance. It stands two storeys high with a five-bay front, where the first-floor band is broken above the central doorway. This doorway has a pilaster strip doorcase with a bracketed hood, a blind overlight, and a panelled door. On either side of the doorway, there are two 19th-century casements, with five similar casements above them, all featuring flush wedge lintels. The south front consists of two bays with a first-floor band, two 19th-century casements with flush wedge lintels, and two 18th-century blind openings with segmental arches above. To the right, there is a small glazing bar casement that has been inserted.
