Description
Hall Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early 16th century, with alterations made in the late 18th century. It is constructed of whitewashed brick and features a pantile roof. The right side has two large rebuilt 17th-century external red brick stacks, and there is a red brick stack on the left gable. The right two bays slightly project and are gabled, with a band of dentil following the line of the gable and remnants of a first-floor band. The building is set on a plinth and has two storeys with four bays. The doorway, located on the left, has a part-glazed door, while to the left is a single 20th-century tripartite glazing bar casement and to the right are two glazing bar sashes. Above the doorway is a single glazing bar casement, with two glazing bar sashes to the right. All openings are under segmental arches. Attached to the right is a lean-to with a segmental arched doorway and a plank door. Inside, there is a restored 17th-century open well staircase featuring barley-sugar balusters and newels with pendants and finials.
