Description

Gayton Manor House is a house built around 1830 in the Italianate style. It features a stuccoed exterior, with the ground floor having a rusticated finish and a shallow concrete tiled roof that has overhanging eaves supported by tall moulded brackets. The building is designed in a T-plan, consisting of two storeys with a garret and a three-bay front, where the central bay is advanced and gabled. There is a plinth, a first-floor band, and a moulded band below the eaves brackets.

The central entrance has a four-panelled door flanked by single tall glazing bar sash windows. On the first floor, there is a tall central window with a balcony that has decorative wrought ironwork, set within a plain plastered surround that includes a moulded panel above. Above this is a semi-circular opening to the garret, also within the same surround. On either side of the central window are single glazing bar sash windows, all of which are in plain plaster surrounds. Additionally, there is a canted bay window on the side front.
