Description

This is a cross located in the churchyard of the Church of St. Margaret, positioned 5 metres south of the south nave. The cross dates from the 15th century and the 19th century. It is made of ashlar stone and features a square base with a 19th-century tapering octagonal shaft that has broach stops on alternate sides of the base. The shaft is topped with a castellated capital, which supports a restored 15th-century cross. The cross displays effigies of Christ on one side and the Virgin and Child on the other, with a castellated triangular hood mould above.
