Description

Hill House is a house from the 17th century located on Top Street in Appleby Magna. It is constructed of red brick with black headers, featuring stone quoins and string courses. The roof is plain tiled with a central ridge stack. The gable facing the street has two storeys and includes two 2-light stone mullion windows, with a similar window in the gable. To the right, there is an early 19th-century addition that has a two-window range, also in red brick with a plain tiled roof and an end stack. On the left side, there are large 20th-century windows on each storey, which have cambered brick lintels. At the rear, the main range shows stone quoins and features a 2-light stone mullion window in the attic.
