Description

The chapel yard walling is a boundary wall surrounding the cemetery to the north, east, and west, made of stone with copings. It was built between 1856 and 1857. This wall is believed to have been constructed at the same time as the Chapel of St John, which was consecrated in August 1857 according to the Leicester Journal. However, the first burials in the cemetery likely did not occur until the early 1870s.
