Description
Viscount Beaumont's School is a school building constructed in 1867, designed by Frederick Pepys Cockerell for Rev William Beresford Beaumont. The central range is made of brick and is a single storey with hipped dormers. It features projecting gable wings constructed of random rubble, with jettied timber framing on the gables. The central range includes a bell turret adorned with arms, an inscription, and a round arched bell opening. There is a hipped dormer with five lights and decorated architraves. The roof extends over a covered way that runs between the wings. The windows in the wings have stone dressings, and there are various expressed and gathered chimneys, along with projecting bays and gables on the side elevations.
