Description

The building at 9 and 11 Lower Church Street dates to the late 18th or early 19th century. It is constructed of red brick with a plinth, and features a stucco eaves cornice with kneelers, as well as a stucco ground floor. Stucco bands are visible at the sill levels of the first and second floors. The building is three storeys high and has three windows. The windows are barred sashes with gauged red brick arches above. The ground floor has an entablature, including pilasters, a cornice, and a frieze. The central and southern doors both have rectangular fanlights and six-panelled doors. The ground floor also includes two large windows with fixed lights and glazing bars.
