Description

The Old Hall is a country house, dating to around 1830, with earlier origins and 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of coursed squared ironstone with graded slate roofs, and has rendered end and ridge stacks. The building follows an L-shaped plan and has a main front facing the garden, comprising a seven-window range. The central ground floor features a five-light window with ovolo-moulded stone mullions. A 20th-century stone porch is positioned to the right, and French windows are located to the far right and left of centre, both with stone lintels. The ground and first floors have 1-, 2- and 3-light windows, all with chamfered stone surrounds. A central stone gabled dormer window is visible. Tall, rendered, octagonal chimneys in a Tudor style are a prominent feature. A wing to the rear right has been altered in the 20th century.
