Description
Numbers 2 and 4 on Warwick Lane are a pair of cottages that were originally a farmhouse built in the mid-18th century, with some minor alterations made in the 20th century. The cottages are constructed of red brick and feature a 20th-century concrete tile roof along with three brick chimney stacks. They have a deep rendered plinth.
The exterior is two stories high. The gable wall facing the street has an off-centre two-light casement window with a segmental head, and above it is another two-light glazing bar casement window with a wooden lintel. The south front has five windows, including three three-light glazing bar casements with segmental heads, flanked by single casement windows. Above, there are two 20th-century casements to the left and two irregular casements to the right. To the left, there is a lower wing that has a single casement window on the upper floor. The north front is single storey and features various casement windows and doors, as well as four gabled two-light dormer windows above.
