Description

The Wheatsheaf is a pair of shops that was formerly an inn, located in Market Bosworth. It dates from the late 18th century but has undergone significant alterations and has an earlier core. The building features rough cast over brick and has a Welsh slate roof. The rear wing includes 16th-century timber framing constructed in a post and truss style. There is a central wide entry leading to a rear courtyard, with a doorway and shop window to the right and a window to the left, all of which are from the 20th century. The upper windows have been renewed in earlier openings and feature flat splayed heads. The building also has an axial stack.
