Description

Railway Farmhouse is a house dating from the mid-18th century. It is constructed of red brick with blue headers and features a Welsh slate roof. The building is two storeys high and has a three-unit plan, although it has undergone some re-arrangement. The main entrance consists of a four-panelled doorway with an overlight, set in a moulded architrave and topped by a flat canopy. To the right of the doorway is one bay, and to the left are two bays, which are separated by an earlier blocked doorway that has a steeply arched brick head. The windows are two-light casements with transoms and flat arched brick heads. The farmhouse also has a dentilled eaves cornice and gable end stacks.
