Description
Elms Farmhouse is a house that dates from the early 18th century, and it may have an earlier core. It is built of brick and has a Welsh slate roof. The building has a main range and a gabled cross-wing, making it two and a half storeys tall and consisting of three units. The gabled wing features triple light sash windows on both the ground and first floors, as well as a window in the attic.
To the left of the main range, there is a doorway with a six-panelled door set within a wooden architrave, topped by a small canopy and a delicately worked frieze in an Adam style. Flanking this doorway are three-light casement windows, and there is another doorway that also has a six-panelled door. The upper windows are casements with two and three lights, featuring leaded panes. All windows have cambered gauged brick heads. The roof has two hipped dormers and an axial stack.
