Description

Glebe Cottage is a cottage with a probable core dating back to the 16th century, partially refaced in the early 19th century. It was originally two dwellings. The lower level is constructed of brick, while the upper level has rendered walls over a possible timber frame, with rendered gable walls. The roof is covered with corrugated sheeting, replacing what was originally thatch. The front features a three-light casement window to the left of the doorway, and two further windows flanking a second, disused door, all with curved heads. Three upper three-light casements are also present. There are gable and axial stacks. A lower rear wing is of lesser height. The cottage is reputedly the former vicarage.
