Description

Longcliffe Lodge Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse constructed from Charnwood granite rubble, with a hipped roof covered in concrete pantiles. The main block is three storeys high and features a double-fronted design with a three-window arrangement. The ground and first floors have 12-pane sash windows, while the second floor retains earlier 8-pane sashes. The window heads are stuccoed and feature incised voussoirs. A fine, Adam-style doorcase with an open pediment and fanlight is a prominent feature, though the doors are 20th-century replacements. A parallel, gable-ended range, also of Charnwood granite with brick dressings, extends to the rear. Behind the farmhouse is a range of granite buildings, forming a farm courtyard.
