Description
Royle Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse with minor later alterations. It is constructed of red brick, featuring painted gauged brick dressings and plain brick bands on the first and second floors. The roof is covered with plain tiles and has brick coped gables, along with two brick gable stacks and a dentilled eaves band. The building stands three storeys high and has three bays.
The central entrance features a flat arched doorcase with a raised and fielded panelled door and a divided overlight, flanked on either side by triple pane sash windows. On the first floor, there is a central 2-light 20th-century casement window, flanked by similar 3-light windows. The second floor has shallower windows of a similar style. The ground and first floor windows are topped with flat brick arches.
