Description

Two bollards are located between numbers 11 and 12 on Broad Walk in Buxton. These mid-19th century bollards are part of Sir Joseph Paxton's design for the Broad Walk. Made of cast iron, the slightly tapering bollards feature three tiers of paired horizontal bands and shaped baluster tops. Each bollard stands on a corner at the junction with Fountain Street. The Broad Walk is characterized by a series of Victorian villas that overlook the Pavilion Gardens.
