Description
The stables at Sandybrook Hall date from the early 19th century and are constructed of brick with sandstone dressings. They feature hipped slate roofs and brick stacks. The building is two storeys high and is arranged around three sides of a courtyard. The west elevation of the middle block has three bays, with the centre bay projecting forward under a pediment that includes a clock with a stone surround. An open cupola is situated above. The central carriage entrance has a segmental arch with a banded stone surround. Above this entrance is a plain sash window with a stone lintel and keystone. On either side of the entrance are semi-circular headed doorways, each with moulded stone surrounds and panelled doors topped with overlights, along with similar plain sashes above. A stone string band connects the sills of the first-floor windows.
