Description
The stables to Callow Hall were built in 1852 by Henry Stevens of Derby. They are constructed from coursed squared rock-faced limestone with gritstone dressings, featuring a plain tile roof and stone coped gables with kneelers, one of which has a finial. The building has a stone ridge stack and consists of a single storey with an attic storey that includes dormers, all designed in an Elizabethan style. The south elevation features a central round-arched carriageway with a chamfered surround and keystone. There is a large dormer with a three-light chamfer mullion window, two three-light chamfer mullion windows to the left, and a three-light chamfer mullion window to the right, which has a similar two-light window above it in a dormer. This building is included for its group value only.
