Description

Wigwell Grange is a Regency building dating from 1839. It is constructed of ashlar and has two storeys. The design features convex bays on the sides and five sash windows. There is a cornice hood porch supported by coupled pilasters, which is topped with a balustrade that has ball-head finials. The parapet also includes ball-head finials. Additionally, there is a three-light convex bay on the returned side to the right. This building stands on the site of an earlier house and a monastic grange associated with the convent at Derby.
