Description

This pair of late 18th-century buildings, numbers 47 and 49 St John’s Street, are constructed of red brick with a coped tiled roof. The buildings are three storeys high, with five sash windows in total, each featuring keyblocks and engraved lintels. Most of the windows retain their original sash form, though the ground floor windows of number 47 have been replaced with modern glazing. Number 49 has an Edwardian bay window on the ground floor, along with an early 19th-century doorcase, featuring pilasters, a bracketed flat hood, and a panelled door. Numbers 45 to 51 on the same side of the street form a group.
