Description
The Market Hotel is a late 18th century to early 19th century building located on the north side of New Square. It is constructed from red brick with a stone plinth, although the facade of No 95 is painted and the plinth is rendered. The building features a moulded wooden eaves cornice and has a slate roof, rising to three storeys.
No 93 has one window with sash design, featuring stuccoed lintels and vertical glazing bars. The ground floor has a reproduction office front with a bow window. No 95 has two windows with engraved lintels; the second floor has casements while the first floor has sashes, all with glazing bars. The ground floor includes added reproduction bow windows made of red brick with a wooden surround. The central door is accessed by steps.
