Description

The chapels at Belper Cemetery, built in 1859, consist of two identical chapels on either side of a central entrance arch. These chapels are connected by one-storey sections with one window on each side. Above the arch, there is a tower topped with a broach spire. The building is constructed from coursed stone and features buttresses along with a banded slate roof, showcasing a decorated style of architecture. Positioned on a hillside, the chapels serve as a prominent local landmark.
